Generate Roadmap Reports
From improved collaboration to increased return on investments, structured roadmaps can help R&D organizations achieve multiple objectives. Traditional static roadmap visualizations are difficult to use and expensive to maintain. The InspiRD app dynamically generates roadmaps to fully realize the benefits of roadmapping.
The Roadmap Report button allows you to generate different types of roadmaps that can be inserted into PowerPoint files or other documents. To access the Reports button click the down arrow next to the View button.
A report generation window is displayed. The toolbar in this window allows you to customize and generate roadmap reports:
- Use the first drop down to select the type of roadmap report to be produced. Different roadmap reports are available by domain / View. Details are below.
- Use the second drop down to select of the output type:
- Screen show: Produces roadmaps formatted for a live presentation
- PowerPoint: Produces roadmaps formatted for PowerPoint charts and places them inside a PowerPoint presentation.
- Print: Produces roadmaps formatted for printing
- Use the Filter Button to filter the elements you would like to include in your roadmap output. Filter functionality is similar to the Portfolio tab filter. Advanced filter is not available for roadmap reports.
- Use the Show Legend button to show/hide a legend describing Gantt shape formats
- Use the Project Titles button to show titles for projects in the gantt panel
- Use the Insertion Row Titles button in Product Insertion and Technology Insertion roadmaps to show titles for the insertion milestones
- Use Zoom +/- buttons to change the date range shown in the Gantt panel
- Use the Export to PPTX button to generate and download a PowerPoint document with the desired roadmap output
- Use the Custom button to select columns that are included in the roadmap output
