Edit Project

To modify a project, double-click on its row or select the row and click the edit button. The edit dialog box will be opened and will allow you to make modifications. Click the OK button to save changes and cancel button to discard changes.

Several sub-panels will be available at the bottom of the Edit dialog box:

Use the Owner sub-panel to assign ownership of the element to another user. Owners receive notifications about changes affecting the platform.

Use the History sub-panel to access the modification logs for the selected platform.

Use the Attachment sub-panel to attach documents, hyperlinks or images to the item of interest. 

Use the Discussion sub-panel to conduct focused discussions about the selected project. You are able to invite other users to discussions and the information is automatically stored for future reference.

Use the Permissions sub-panel to control which users or group can read (R) or modify (RW) the platform. This tab only appears if your organization decides that access control capabilities are required.

Use the Revenues sub-panel to input projected revenues and margins for the project. Revenues sub-panel is only available for the base project in a continuation chain. Revenues and margins are used to support portfolio prioritization analytics.

The InspiRD App makes log entries of all changes made and records which user made changes when. Email notifications are sent to the owner of the project (if enabled). All changes are automatically propagated to link adjunct copies and appropriate log entries are made.

Please note that the the edit button will be disabled if

  • You do not have RW access to the project
  • You do not have PRW access to its basis platform
  • Selected project is a link adjunct copy (only the link prime item can be modified)

Hovering the mouse cursor on the edit button will display a tool tip indicating why the edit button is disabled.
