Delete & Delete Special Project

To delete a project, select it by clicking so that it is highlighted and then click the Delete button. To access the delete button click the down arrow next to the edit button. You will be prompted to confirm the deletion. Choose yes to confirm or no to cancel.

  • This action moves the item to the recycle bin, where it can still be restored.
  • To permanently delete an item, you must next choose delete items from the recycle-bin.
  • Please note that the recycle bin is emptied when the user logs out. Items cannot be restored across user sessions.

Delete button will be disabled if

  • You do not have RW access to the selected project or PRW access to its basis platform
  • Selected project has child projects
  • Selected project has requirements
  • Selected project has link adjunct copies
  • Selected project is a child of a Link adjunct project – the entire link adjunct tree must be deleted simultaneously

Hovering the cursor on the delete button will provide a tool tip with the reason for button disabling.

Delete Special Project

To delete a project and all its children, requirements, risks, tests and tasks, Select the project and then click the Delete Special button. To access the delete button click the down arrow next to the edit button. You will be prompted to confirm the deletion. Note that this action moves items to the recycle bin, where it can still be restored.

Delete Special button will be disabled if

  • You do not have RW access to the selected project or PRW access to its basis platform
  • Selected project has link adjunct copies
  • Selected project is the child or a link adjunct

InspiRD App makes a log entry in the parent item indicating that the item was deleted and by whom. Email notifications are sent to the owner of the project (if enabled). All changes are automatically propagated to link adjunct copies and appropriate log entries are made.
