  • To copy a project, select it and click the Copy button . To access the copy button click the down arrow next to the edit button.
  • To move the project, use the same process, but click the Cut button instead of the copy button.
  • Next select the location you would like to paste the project
    • For root projects, select the basis platform in the nav panel
    • For child projects, select the destination parent project
  • Click Paste button . To paste the project, its requirements, risks, tests and tasks, click Paste Special. To access the paste or paste special button, click the down arrow next to the edit button.

  • A child project at a given hierarchical level must remain at that level. E.g. a System Level 3 project may only be moved to another System Level 3 position
  • Only one child project may exist for a given child platform level. E.g.: a copied Engine subsystem project cannot be pasted under a system project that already has an Engine subsystem project defined
  • To address project hierarchies, Product and Market domain projects cannot be pasted across basis platforms. Technology projects can be pasted across basis platforms.

Cut and Copy buttons are disabled if:

  • No project has been selected
  • For copy, if you do not have R access to the project or PR access to its basis platform
  • For cut, if you do not have RW access to the project or PRW access to its basis platform
  • A link adjunct project has been selected

  • Selected project is a link adjunct

InspiRD App makes a log entry in the copied, pasted elements and their parent item indicating that the operation, by whom, and when. Email notifications are sent to the owner of the project (if enabled). All changes are automatically propagated to link adjunct copies and appropriate log entries are made.
