Requirements Tab

All R&D have objectives and requirements that need to be satisfied to deliver value to customers. The Requirements tab builds a database of requirements and relationships between them for each project or subproject. Requirements of different types such as functional requirements can be derived from customer requirements.

The Requirements tab defaults to a split view with a navigation pane and a content panel. The navigation pane shows a list of projects for the platform selected in Portfolio tab. Title column is used select any project. Ungroup the continuation chain if the project is continued by clicking on the + button. Click the horizontal arrow to expand the tree and show next level of architecture. Click the down arrow to collapse the tree and hide the corresponding level of detail. Select any project to show the requirements for the project in the content pane.

If nav panel is blank, or does not show your project, Click Portfolio Tab; select category in portfolio nav panel and click requirements tab again. Alternately, use the nav panel carousel to switch to the platform nav panel, select a platform, switch back to the portfolio nav panel.

If you cannot find the project you want to use, it may be because you don’t have access to the project. Please talk with the project owner to make appropriate changes.

Across the top of the screen are a series of toolbar buttons. Buttons of Requirements toolbar are described here. Some of the buttons have a down arrow button to the right. Clicking on the down arrow displays additional functionality related to the shown button. Click on a button name (below) to view details about toolbars in each group.
